Betty Jean Zeigler

Betty J. Zeigler (Calvin), 85, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 after a short illness.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Doris (Green) Calvin, son Brad Zeigler and siblings Glenn Calvin and Beverly Doepel.
Betty retired from Akron Public Schools after teaching Business at Buchtel and Ellet High Schools. She graduated from Kent State with a Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education and received her Master Degree from Akron. She was a long time member of Firestone Park Presbyterian Church and spent many years with the Weathervane Playhouse Women's Board.
Betty is survived by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth O. Zeigler; son Jeffrey A. Zeigler; and many nieces, nephews and close personal friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00am at the funeral home. Rev. Frances Fischer officiating. Interment Hillside Memorial Park. Donations may be made to Firestone Park Presbyterian Church, 275 South Firestone Blvd., Akron OH 44301.
