Betty Lena Weis

Betty L. Weis, 88 passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
She was born in Pennsylvania and was an Akron area resident for over 70 years. She was a member of Firestone Park United Methodist Church and had worked for the former O'Neil's Department Store. Betty volunteered for many years at Summa as a receptionist and enjoyed taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Grace Faidley; husband, Kenneth F. Weis; and brother, Dale Faidley. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Lindsay Thomas; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Emilee Weis; sister, Verna Ruth Hillen; brother, Roy Faidley; grandchildren, Brian Thomas, Jennifer Stancil (Thomas) and Sarah Billings; and great-grandchildren, Tommy and Danny.
Funeral service will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Pastor Terry Baker officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
