Betty Sayre

Betty Sayre, 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on May 25, 2018.
Born in Akron on December 26, 1940, Betty had been an East Sparta resident for over 30 years. She was a member of the Former Akron Baptist Temple. Betty, along with her husband, owned Akron Transmission, retiring in 1986. Betty enjoyed traveling, shopping, and especially loved being with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by Ernie & Beatrice Fincher; sister Barbara Vanderhoof & grandson Jess Sayre. She is survived by her high school sweetheart & husband of 58 years, Gary Sr.; children Gary Jr. (Christine) Sayre, Rion Otremsky, Dedra (Tim) Case, Traci Young, Jodie (Chris) Armstrong; 10 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren; brother Ernie (Marilyn) Fincher.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a funeral will take place on Friday at 11 am. Interment will follow immediately at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron.
