Betty J. Kudla

Betty Jane Kudla, 100, passed away Tuesday April 19, 2016 at the Merriman. Betty was born October 8, 1915 to Harry and Mary (Toomey) Shaffer in Akron and had been an Akron resident her entire life. She was a member of LifeSpring Christian Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Peter in 1970 and is survived by her niece Linda Sowers and great niece Debbie Sowers and other members of the Sowers and Rowles families. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4:00 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron with Pastor Terry Baker officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 4 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Glendale Cemetery.
