Betty Jane Flesher

Betty Jane Flesher, 98, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, after a brief illness.

Betty was born May 10, 1925, to Ray and Bertha (Linch) Ritchie in Akron and had been an area resident her entire life.

Her favorite pastime was a good bingo game.

Betty is survived by her children James Mantz, Danna (James) Schultz, Janet (Merle) Dennis, Janice (Ken) Stipe, Sam Flesher, Tim Zolyniak and Steve (Veena) Flesher; special daughter Sherry Twigg-Karm; brother Bob Ritchie; 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence (Steve) Flesher, son Jack Mantz, grandson Thomas (Tat) Thompson, and sister Stella Twigg.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 2 to 4 Pm at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St., Akron OH 44301 where a Funeral Service will take place at 4:00 Pm. Cremation to follow with entombment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
