Betty Jean (Smith) Charles

Betty J Charles, 77, passed away March 12, 2022 after a courageous battle with Pulmonary Hypertension.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with family, camping, travelling, bowling, and golf.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Gene, daughter Cheryl, grandson Michael, brother-in-law Pete Keith, brothers, Sam, Bob, and Vern Smith. She is survived by her children Gene (Laura) Charles, David (Heidi) Charles, and Kim (Randy) Hyrne, stepchildren Tony (Shari) Charles and Tracy (Rick) Badgett, 13 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Ruth Keith and niece Lisa Keith and her children, sister-in-laws Donna and Joyce Smith. The family would like to thank Dr. Kristin Highland and Nancy Bair at the Cleveland clinic for the many years of care and the staff at Justin T Rogers Hospice Care Center.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 18, at 4 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
