Bess Carpas

Bess Carpas, 84, died April 23, 2014. She was born March 28, 1930 to John and Cleo Lardas. Her beloved husband, James Carpas, preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter, Dianne Davis and sons Nicholas (Jackie) and John (Toni), six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, brothers James Lardas (Julianne) and Steve Lardas. Bess was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister.
Bess was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. She was very proud of her Greek heritage and belonged to the Icarian Club in Akron.
She cherished her memories of traveling abroad particularly to Greece, Australia, Italy and Singapore. She enjoyed reminiscing of her adventures and the people she met.
Calling hours are Sunday, April 27 at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main Street Akron, OH 44301 from 5-7 p.m. with a Trisagion service at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will held Monday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union Street, Akron, OH 44304 where Bess will lie in state one hour prior to service. Rev. Father Jerry Hall officiating. Interment at Glendale Cemetery.
