Bernard Jansen

GREEN - Bernard Jansen, 70, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at his home.

Bernard was born May 17, 1950 in Pittsburgh PA to the late Bernard and Catherine (Frey) Jansen and had been an area resident most of his life. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a self-employed Electrician and was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

Bernard is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cheryl (Auman); children Bernard and Raymond Jansen, Jessica (Michael) Williams and Sebrina (Derek) Shenot; grandchildren Amelia and Brantley Jansen and Adria and Eris Williams; 12 siblings and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 11:00am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd, Uniontown OH 44685 where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services (masks are suggested and social distancing is required). Interment with Military Honors will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 10:00am at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project
