Barbara Jean Zaklan

Barbara J. Zaklan died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley.
She was born in Akron on January 18, 1932 to the late Eugene and Lurita Holloway. Barbara graduated from East High School in 1950, where she was voted the best dancer. Barbara worked for American Greetings for 10 years. She was an avid tennis player, enjoyed playing cards with her bridge club, attending adult bible study, and traveling. She also enjoyed Polka dancing with her husband Nick. Barbara was a member of The Chapel in Akron.
Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother Milton E. Riley. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Nicholas Zaklan; son Scott (Deanna) Zaklan; daughter Cheryl Zaklan; and grandson Kyle Zaklan.
The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5-7 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a funeral service will be held at 7 pm.
