Barbara Ann (Ervin) Orndorff

Barbara Ann Orndorff, 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 4, 2025.
Barbara was born in Akron on December 24, 1943, to the late Gilmore and Vada Ervin and was a lifelong area resident. Barbara was an incredible baker; her sugar cookies, her cheesecake and her decorating skills were legendary. She retired from Akron General where she worked as a cook and baker. Barbara was a very involved grandmother, playing with them when they were little and making it to every game and event. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Homer Overton Orndorff. She survived by her children Homer L. Orndorff and Vada (Steve) Harbarger; grandchildren Paige and Jacob Harbarger; and great-grandson Matthew Harbarger.
The family will receive friends from 4-7PM on Thursday January 9 at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 1990 S Main St in Akron. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, January 10 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
