Barbara Ann Mason

Barbara Ann Mason, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on September 1, 2015.
Barbara was born in Akron to the late John & Laura Olhoeft on September 9, 1924.Barbara met her loving husband, Harold Mason, near B.F. Goodrich and they married September 23, 1944. They moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 1945 where they raised their three daughters. Barbara worked for Army Ordinance inspecting tires during the War. She was a longtime member of the First United Church of Christ. Barbara was also a member of the Florence Firick Circle since 1940, having served as both president and treasurer.
Barbara is survived by her devoted daughters Susan (husband John English) Gaines, grandson Aaron (Katie) Gaines and great-grandsons Mason & Isaac; Barbara (Jerry) Hill, grandson Jason (Allison) Marsden, and great-grandchildren Wesley & Kobi, step-granddaughter Leslie Hill; Joanne Burns and grandson Michael Burns; favorite niece Sherry Hartline.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5-7 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, at 11:00 am, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131, to the Alzheimers Association 70 W.
