Audrey B. Huckels

Audrey B. Huckels, 86, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2016 at Summa Akron City Hospital.
Born in Perryopolis, PA, on May 25, 1929, Audrey moved to Akron, OH, as a teenager and graduated from Garfield High School. After marrying Gerald Huckels, she resided in the Akron area for most of her life and was blessed with a loving family and an abundance of friends. Her generosity, infectious laugh, youthful spirit, and love of cooking attracted both the young and old to her side. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards with friends, growing delicious tomatoes, peppers, and herbs in her garden, traveling (especially to casinos), shopping on QVC, and cooking her favorite foods. She will be deeply missed by all those she left behind.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, and brother, Paul. Audrey is survived by her loving daughter, Paulette Dunlap, and caring son, Neal. She also leaves behind adoring grandchildren, Shannon (Max) and Corey (Gina), and great-grandchildren, Adriana and Louis, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 where a Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Donations in Audrey's Memory may be made to Make a Wish Foundation, 6060 Rockside Woods Blvd. Suite 315, Independence, Ohio 44131 or Hospice of Summa, 525 E.
