Antonina Francisca (Annette) Signorino

Antonina "Annette" Francesca Latona Signorino, 80, was called home to be with our Savior at Mercy Medical Center on Saturday, June24, 2017.
Annette was born to Anna and Felix Latona on November 2, 1936 in Akron and graduated from Garfield High School. Annette was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Anna Latona. She is survived by her husband Ross of 56 years and her brother, Dr. Joseph (Teresa) Latona. To cherish Annette's memory, she leaves her 4 children Vita (Kenny) Moore, Tony (Holly) Signorino, Russell Signorino and Kay (Benjamin)Metzler and her grandchildren Maria (Scott), Angelina, Julia, Ross, Anna, Anthony, Maria, Diana, Dominic, John Paul, and Rosario.
Annette was a member of Queen of Heaven parish and instilled a deep faith in many with a strong devotion to Mary and our patron saints. She dedicated her life to her family and was always willing to help anyone in need and sacrificed in a way that seemed effortless. She taught her children how to advocate fiercely, resolutely, and respectfully for those with disabilities and always cheered for the underdog. Mom strongly supported her children at school, as a leader in the PTA or volunteered for many years with Special Olympics, PrimeTimers and the Sons of Italy. Annette was lovingly cared for by the sisters of the Congregation of the Divine Spirit and staff at the House of Lareto for over 2 years and after a valiant fight, she eventually succumbed to the effects of Alzheimer's disease. In her memory, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
To remember her inspiring life, please join her family at the Calling Hours on Tuesday, June 27th from 4-7 PM at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko Anthony Kertesz Chapel, 1990 South Main St. Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. David Durkee at Queen of Heaven parish, 1800 Steese Rd. Uniontown on Wednesday, June 28th at 11:30 AM. (Anthony, AKRON)
