Anthony Neil Hunt

Anthony "Tony" Hunt, 47, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 unexpectedly, but after having longtime health issues.  Anthony was born on November 2, 1970 in Akron, Ohio, and was raised in Yukon, Oklahoma where he grew up to be a proud Boomer Sooner fan.  He moved back to the Akron area due to his father's job with Bridgestone-Firestone and remained in this area his entire life.  Though he called Green home, Tony loved to travel anywhere and everywhere within the US and internationally.  His favorite place in the world was Italy where he had been 5 times and hoped for many more trips.  Tony was the owner of Silvertree Custom Homes and has built beautiful homes in the Summit, Stark and Columbus areas.  Tony was passionate about a lot of things including adventure, different cultures, unique foods, politics, religion, but his greatest passion, joy and love was being a father.  Fatherhood brought him true happiness and unconditional love.

Tony is survived by his parents Ray and Nita (Leerstang) Hunt, his wife Lisa (Fortunato) Hunt, and his adoring daughter Sofia.  Tony is also survived by his daughter Courtney (Brady) Hamar and grandson Beckett; his loyal brother Matthew Hunt, sister Christina (Craig) Gadow; niece Cara (Donnie) Weaver and their four children; nephew Caleb; mother-in-law Susan Fortunato; brother-in-law Joe Fortunato and sister-in-law Gina Fortunato; and his beloved dog Gracie.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road, Uniontown OH 44685 (corner of Massillon and Steese Rds. in Green, entrance off Steese Rd.) where funeral services will be held Wednesday September 12, 2018 at 11:00 am followed by a Christian burial.
