Anna Szablowsky

Anna Szablowsky, 93, passed away on May 3, 2014 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley.
Born in the Ukraine on December 22, 1920, Anna came to the US and settled in Akron in 1950. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church in Akron.
Preceded in death by her husband Nick and daughter Olga King, Anna is survived by her sons John & Jerry Szablowsky and daughter Mary (Jim) Baker, as well as many grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 6-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a Panachida will take place at 7:30 pm. A funeral iturgy will take place on Thursday, at 10:00 am at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church 1866 Brown St. Akron, OH 44301. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Church.
