Anna Orban of Akron, passed away at her granddaughter's home in Madison Heights, MI, on May 30, 2017, at age 103. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born to Andrew and Anna Cesnak on June 12, 1913, in Backa Palanka, Yugoslavia, she came to Akron at the age of seven. Married to George Orban (deceased), Anna was the mother of Jeanette (John-deceased) Coch and Richard (Susan-deceased) Orban. Beloved grandmother of six grandchildren - Roger (Leta) Coch, Johnny Coch, Karen (Vince) Parisi, Kristine Coch- (deceased), Monica (James) Kulaga, and Cathleen (Matthew) Hrtanek. Also sadly missed by seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews. Anna had a long, well-lived life. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends with her delicious cooking and baked goods. She had many friends at the Akron Senior Center and traveled throughout the United States. Playing cards with family and friends was one of Anna's favorite pastimes. The family will receive friends Friday, June 2nd from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 3rd from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Hanchett officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery and luncheon following.
