Ann Elizabeth Stayshich

Ann Elizabeth Stayshich, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
Born in Akron on June 2, 1929 to the late William Hollie & Elizabeth Fields, Ann was a lifelong area resident. She attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and worked for many years in the Springfield Local Schools cafeteria. Ann found joy in her family and especially loved playing cards. She enjoyed the many events held at the Danbury of North Canton while she was a resident there. Ann enjoyed every minute of life and lived it to the fullest.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband George in 2009; sisters Mary Jane Scott & Dolores Polack; and many in-laws & friends. She is survived by her children Dan (Debbie), Chuck (Terri) and Christine (Jim) Kirgesner; grandchildren Christopher (Sara), Michael (Jessica), & Ryan (Emily) Stayshich, Sara (Travis) Hawk, Jami (Bill) Brewer, Daniel Kirgesner, and Aaron (Xiao) Kirgesner; great-grandchildren Aiden, Madeline Ann, Isabella, Logan, Greyson, Elijah, Emma, and Baby Brewer (due any day now); brothers-in-law Bruce Scott & Louis Kuhn; sister-in-law Mary Matthews; along with many nieces and nephews. Thank you to all the staff and many friends at the Danbury who helped make Mom's last four years there so joyful.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 6 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St. in Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Parish, 4019 Manchester Road, Akron, 44319. Interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
