Andrew W. Shields, 78, passed away on May 13, 2024
Andy was born in Akron in 1946 to the late Michael F. & Helen F. Shields and was a 1964 graduate of St. Vincent High School and received his BA from Kent State University in 1970.
In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his wife Leslie; siblings Michael, Fr. Patrick, James, & Mary Ann. He is survived by his sisters Bernie Myers & Eileen Shields, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Norm Douglas on Monday, May 20, at 11:330 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Market St. in Akron. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
