Andrew Mathias Rohn, Jr.

Andrew (Andy) M. Rohn Jr., 71, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Andy was born May 10, 1954 to the late Andrew Sr. and Anna Rohn in Akron and had been a Green resident his entire life. He was employed by Glidden, Ferro, and the University of Akron for over 25 years, retiring in 2019. He was a faithful member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and a very active member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Andy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Andy is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Margaret (Peggy) Rohn; children Elizabeth (Thomas) Dannemiller and Brian (Lauren Watkins) Rohn; grandchildren, Kennedy and Makayla Dannemiller; sister Betty (Garry) Loucks; sister-in-laws, Patricia Alven, Rosemarie (Tim) O'Connell, and Rita Flinn, his family angel; brother-in-law Jim Linkie; and a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by sister-in-law Mary Jane Linkie.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 22, 2025, from 4 to 7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Green Chapel, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads in the City of Green, entrance off Steese). A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd, Akron, OH 44319. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
