Allen Mason Welker

Allen M. Welker, 60, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2017, surrounded by his loving dialysis nurses, after a lifelong battle with Type 1 Diabetes.
Born in Galion, OH on July 29, 1956 to Mason & Mildred Welker, Allen was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson HS in Jefferson Hills, PA. He was an Iron Worker from 1980 to 2006 for Cleveland Iron Workers Local #17.
Allen was preceded in death by wife Aleta 'Lee' in 2008; faithful canine companion Buddy; father Mason A. Welker & brother Mark Welker. He is survived by his mother Mildred 'Millie' Welker and former wife Lynn Welker; daughter Erin Spevak and son Alan (Amy) Welker; step-children Joanna (Doug) King, Matthew Roach, & Lisa Griffith; grandchildren Persi, Calli, Ellery Spevak, Landyn & Noah Welker, & Alisha Griffith, as well as numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, & cousins; sisters Carol (Eric) Adolfson & Lisa (Bill) Wigginton; brother Eric (Lisa) Welker.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 8, from 1-3 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls, where a funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm. A private interment will take place at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contributions to the charity of your choice.
