Alice Ruth Hobensack

Alice Ruth "Ruth G." Hobensack, 94 passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018. She was born in Akron and was a lifetime resident of the area. She was a graduate of Kenmore High School and Sayre Beauty School becoming a hairdresser by profession. She also loved to sew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Gates; husband, Robert; and sisters, Margie Purdue and Hazel Bixler. She is survived by son, Jack; daughter, Jill; grandchildren, Sarah (Charles) Nichols and Robert (Samantha) Hobensack of Morrisville, North Carolina; and great-grandchildren, J.J. and Alex. Funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. (Anthony, Akron)
