Aldena Jane Sample

Aldena Sample, 69, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Akron City Hospital.
Aldena was born November 4, 1947 to Joseph and Sarah (Vasko) Dombek in Akron and had been an area resident her entire life. She was an executive administrative secretary for Akron Public Schools for 24 years retiring in 2011. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
Aldena was a caring, compassionate and nurturing person who will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mike in 2006, sister Dollie Glaston and niece Debbie Glaston; and is survived by her children Rob (Laura) Sample and Melissa Sample; grandchildren Sarah Sample and Madison Dotson; brother-in-law Bob Glaston; nephews Rick (Theresa) and Ken Glaston and great nephew Jason Glaston; special friends Mary DeShane and Judi Adam.
The family will receive friends Thursday 4 to 8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. Akron OH 44301. Interment Crown Hill Burial Park. (Anthony, AKRON)
