Alda A. (Lucas) Crooks

Alda Crooks, age 85 of North Canton, passed away on July 26, 2025. Alda was born on May 22, 1940 in Allegheny, PA.

She is preceded in death by her husband William Crooks, her parents Rev. Michael & Margaret Lucas, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her sons Anthony Rossodivito and Robert (Debbie) Craft; her grandchildren Haley and Colby Craft and Ashley, Brandon and Austin Cordi; her extended family including the Rambacher, Mayer and Stockdale families and friends; and her longtime best friend, Karen (John) Nolan.

Alda worked as a store manager for Fashion Bug for many years until they closed in 2013. Then, she began working part time at Dollar Tree until 2021. Alda loved spending time with her family and friends, meeting the Fashion Bug ladies for lunch each month, watching the deer from her balcony, and making her famous fudge for everyone. She also enjoyed decorating for all the holidays, especially at Christmas time when she would proudly display her Santa and Gingerbread collections.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church, located at 4019 Manchester Rd. in Akron, Saturday, August 2 at 11:00 AM with family receiving friends one hour prior to the mass. Interment at St Jacob's Cemetery in North Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Friends of Stark Parks (starkparks.com).
