Alberta M. (Straka) Stefanik, 90, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018.
Alberta was born June 12, 1927 to the late Joseph & Anna (Dornick) Straka and lived in the Pittsburgh area most of her life. She retired from Allegheny Valley Hospital in 1989.  Alberta was involved with Girl Scouts, directed the local day camp program and worked with the Catholic Girl Scout Awards. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in Natrona Heights, PA.
In addition to her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by siblings Robert J. Straka, Mary Lou (Straka) Weschler, & Joanne (Straka) Crumbo. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Paula (Stefanik) Stallard and grandchildren Daniel Jr. & Joanne Stallard, as well as many dear cousins & friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 5 at 10:30AM at St. Francis de Sales Parish, 4009 Manchester Road in Akron, Ohio 44319.  Interment will be Saturday, June 16 at 2:30PM, at St. Joseph Cemetery 101-199 Bellevue Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15229.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA  22215.
