Agnes E. Kiel

Agnes Kiel, 92, passed away on Wednesday, July 30th, and joined her
husband and love of her life Paul, who preceded her in death in 2008.
Born July 19, 1922 in Akron, to Louis and Mary (nee Strebler)
Mueller, Agnes was a lifetime area resident. Her life revolved around
faith and family. She was a charter member of St. Francis de Sales
Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Christian Family
Movement, Ladies Guild and the choir. She was a faithful volunteer at
St. Francis de Sales and Pregnancy Care of Barberton. Early in life
Agnes worked as a secretary at the Firestone Research Center and later
was a "Cafeteria Lady" at St. Francis de Sales School. She loved
traveling with her husband Paul, especially to Nova Scotia.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Paul;
brothers Ollie, Joe, George, Leo, & Albert Mueller. She is survived by
her children Bill (Bernie) Kiel of Doylestown, Bob (Debi) Kiel of
Cuyahoga Falls, Paula Kiel of Tallmadge, James (Susan) Kiel of
Wadsworth; grandchildren Lynn (Joe Pak) Kiel, Jon (Hannah Murnen) Kiel,
Shaun (Jessica) Kiel, Courtney (Raf) Pargas, Paul Bartholet & Mark
(Chelsey) Bartholet, Margaret (John Morse) Kiel-Morse, and Brian Kiel,
as well as 7 great-grandchildren; sister Louise (Sister Stephanie
Mueller, IHM), as well as many nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-6 pm at the Anthony
Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, 9:30 am at the funeral home, and
will continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Francis
de Sales Catholic Church on Manchester Rd. in New Franklin. Interment
will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to Pregnancy Care of Barberton 1058
W. Wooster Rd. Barberton, OH 44203.
